Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

1 serving

–       4 oz. whole milk

–       1 tsp. peppermint extract

–       2 oz. good-quality semisweet chocolate, shaved

Place the frothing disk in your Capresso froth TEC and ensure it is securely snapped inside the bottom of the milk pitcher. Add milk and peppermint extract to frothing pitcher. Place lid and press the Hot button. After about three minutes, remove frother lid and add shaved* chocolate. Replace lid and wait for frother to automatically shut off. Serve in a mug and enjoy.

*Tip: Use a vegetable peeler to shave the chocolate.

Peppermint Affogato

If you enjoyed our recipe for Caramel Affogato, you’ll love our Peppermint Affogato. This sweet treat is perfect for celebrating one of our favorite winter flavors—peppermint.

Peppermint Affogato

1 serving

–       1-2 oz. espresso

–       1 large scoop peppermint ice cream

Start by placing one large scoop of peppermint ice cream into a cup and placing it into the freezer for 15 minutes to an hour to harden.  Using your EC100 Espresso Machine, brew the espresso into a small cup.  Once espresso is done brewing, remove the scoop of ice cream from the freezer and slowly pour the espresso shot over the ice cream. Enjoy immediately.

Root Beer Froth

We’re frothing up the classic fountain drink — Root Beer Float — to make our tasty Root Beer Froth. This light and refreshing beverage is simple to prepare and a real treat for your taste buds.

 

 

Root Beer Froth

2 servings

–       8 oz. Root beer

–       8 oz. Non-fat milk

–       2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

–       Ice

 

Using your froth PLUS, place the frothing disk in the frothing pitcher and ensure it is securely snapped inside the bottom of the frothing pitcher. Add milk and vanilla extract to frothing pitcher and press Cold button. Wait for frother to automatically shut off. Fill each glass with 4 oz. of root beer and several ice cubes. Pour frothed milk directly over root beer.

 

Lemon Almond Black Tea

For a new spin on classic English Breakfast Tea, try our recipe for Lemon Almond Black Tea. With fresh lemon juice and hints of almond, this beverage is a delicious way to start your day.

 

 

 

Lemon Almond Black Tea

2 servings

–       16 oz. water

–       2 English Breakfast Tea teabags

–       1 small lemon

–       1 tsp. pure almond extract

 

In your Capresso teaC100, fill kettle with 16 oz. water (to the minimum fill line). Place kettle on Power Base and plug cord into wall outlet. Turn dial to Black Tea setting (212° F) and press the On/Off button to begin boiling water. When the heater and lights turn off, remove kettle and pour 8 oz. of water into each cup and replace kettle. Steep one teabag in each cup for 4-6 minutes, to desired taste. Remove teabags and add juice of ½ small lemon and ½ tsp. pure almond extract into each cup. Stir and garnish with lemon slice.

Caramel Hot Chocolate with Milky Way® Pieces

–       8 oz. non-fat milk

–       4 tbsp. chocolate syrup

–       2 tsp. caramel sauce, plus more for garnish

–       Milky Way® Pieces (chopped)

Place the heating disk in your Capresso froth Select and ensure it is securely snapped inside the bottom of the frothing pitcher. Add milk to the frothing pitcher and place the dial on Hot Froth . After 2 minutes, add chocolate syrup. Wait for the frother to automatically shut off. Place 1 teaspoon of caramel sauce in each cup and pour the hot milk over the caramel sauce. Top with caramel sauce and chopped Milky Way® pieces.

–       8 oz apple juice

–       1 cinnamon stick

–       1 tsp whole cloves

–       orange peel

–       lemon peel

–       4 oz. non-fat milk

–       freshly ground cinnamon (to garnish)

Place the frothing disk in your Capresso froth PLUS and ensure it is securely snapped inside the bottom of the frothing pitcher. Add milk and press the Hot button. Wait for frother to automatically shut off. Meanwhile, place apple juice, cinnamon stick, cloves, orange peel and lemon peel into a microwave-safe glass. Place glass in microwave and heat for 1 minute and 30 seconds on High. Remove glass from microwave. Remove cinnamon stick, cloves and peels from the glass so only the apple juice remains in the glass. (Please use caution as liquid is hot.) Spoon frothed milk over apple juice and top with freshly ground cinnamon.

Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate

–       Chocolate chunks

Place the heating disk in your Capresso froth PLUS and ensure it is securely snapped inside the bottom of the frothing pitcher. Add milk to the frothing pitcher and press the Hot button. After 2 minutes, add chocolate syrup. Wait for the frother to automatically shut off. Place pumpkin spice in a cup and pour the hot milk over the pumpkin spice while stirring. Stir until pumpkin spice is blended and top with chocolate chunks.

S’mores Hot Chocolate

We took a campfire classic and turned it into a hot chocolaty beverage — S’mores Hot Chocolate. Experience chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows in a delicious new way.

 

 

S’mores Hot Chocolate

–       8 oz. low-fat milk

–       3 oz. milk chocolate, grated

–       1 Tbsp chocolate syrup

–       1 graham cracker, crushed

–       Mini marshmallows

Place the heating disk in your Capresso froth PLUS and ensure it is securely snapped inside the bottom of the frothing pitcher. Add milk to the frothing pitcher and press the Warm button. After two minutes, add the grated chocolate. Replace lid and wait for the frother to automatically shut off.  To garnish cups, pour chocolate syrup onto a small plate and pour crushed graham cracker onto a separate plate. (Tip: Diameter of plates should be larger than diameter of cups.) Dip rim of cup into chocolate syrup then dip rim of cup into crushed graham cracker. Fill cup with hot chocolate and top with mini marshmallows
