–       3 oz. milk chocolate, grated

–       1 Tbsp chocolate syrup

–       1 graham cracker, crushed

–       Mini marshmallows

Place the heating disk in your Capresso froth PLUS and ensure it is securely snapped inside the bottom of the frothing pitcher. Add milk to the frothing pitcher and press the Warm button. After two minutes, add the grated chocolate. Replace lid and wait for the frother to automatically shut off.  To garnish cups, pour chocolate syrup onto a small plate and pour crushed graham cracker onto a separate plate. (Tip: Diameter of plates should be larger than diameter of cups.) Dip rim of cup into chocolate syrup then dip rim of cup into crushed graham cracker. Fill cup with hot chocolate and top with mini marshmallows

Hazelnut Hot Chocolate

1 serving

–       8 oz. whole milk

–       2 Tbs. Nutella

–       Mini marshmallows or whipped cream

Place the heating disk in your Capresso froth PLUS and ensure it is securely snapped inside the bottom of the frothing pitcher. Add milk to the frothing pitcher and press the Hot button. Wait for the frother to automatically shut off. Place Nutella in a large cup and pour the hot milk over the Nutella while stirring. Stir until Nutella is blended and top with marshmallows or whipped cream.

Note: It is best not to add the Nutella directly to the frothing pitcher as the thick, dense texture may stop the heating disk from spinning.  When using thicker ingredients it is always best to add the hot milk to the ingredient in a cup than add the thick ingredient to the milk pitcher.

Argentinean Hot Chocolate (El Submarino)

When we discovered Argentinean Hot Chocolate, we most enjoyed the chocolaty submarine. What’s that you ask? It’s a piece of dark chocolate that sinks into hot milk and slowly melts to create a wonderful glass of hot chocolate.

Prepare a glass with your Capresso froth PRO.

Argentinean Hot Chocolate (El Submarino)

1-2 servings

–       10 oz. whole milk

–       1 Tbs. sugar

–       ½ tsp. vanilla extract

–       1-2 oz. good quality dark chocolate

Place the heating disk in your Capresso froth PRO and ensure it is securely snapped inside the bottom of the frothing pitcher. Add milk and vanilla extract to the frothing pitcher, place lid and press the Hot button. After two minutes, remove the lid and add sugar. Replace lid and wait for frother to automatically shut off. Pour hot milk into cups and serve with a square of dark chocolate to serve as “the submarine.” Use a spoon to “sink” the chocolate into the hot milk and stir. As you stir, the chocolate turns the hot milk into hot chocolate.
