Tea in the Garden

Brew your favorite tea in your Capresso Coffee à la Carte, but don’t throw away your used tea bags.  Used tealeaves are good for growing roses and ferns, and can be used to help lower the soil’s pH.

Function:
Tealeaves contain tannic acid, which helps rose bushes fight fungus, and it is also good for their growth.

Types of Tea:
Black tea or Green tea can be used because they both contain tannic acid (tannins).

Time Frame:
Tealeaves, in bags or loose, can be placed on the soil after pruning.  They can also be placed in the mulch before the plants begin growing.
